Weddings in Phoenix
Celebrity Wedding Planner in Phoenix
The Royal Wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry commanded media attention all over the world. But before we all heard of Meghan, I had the pleasure of working with Danielle and Wu for their Wedding in Phoenix, and as it turns out, Danielle is Meghan’s doppelganger and is routinely mistaken for the Duchess of Sussex!
Inside Edition and other media sources have published stories on the Arizona look-alike and we’re thrilled to hear that Danielle is still over-the-moon happy with her wedding we planned for her to her prince charming, Wu.
Locally, their wedding was also featured in Arizona’s Finest Wedding Sites and Service Magazine. While the two women strongly resemble each other, their weddings were very different. See how Weddings in Phoenix are designed.
Creating their look/feel
Like many couples, Danielle and Wu paid for their wedding themselves. Sticking within their budget was a top concern for Danielle. We worked with Danielle and Wu to ensure that their investment dollars were spent in areas that were the most important to them.
Designing their Phoenix wedding to fit their style and enhance the guest experience was important to the couple. The Clayton on the Park was the perfect fit for their modern look/feel.
We selected black, white and gold as the colors for their wedding. Danielle’s favorite flower was an orchid, and we incorporated orchids in the unique contemporary hanging backdrop for their ceremony. We also had a modern lighted floral centerpiece manufactured for their sweetheart table that showcased phalaenopsis orchids.
Beautiful linens were selected from Southwick Linens to add to the glimmer of the dining room. Custom-designed menus for each place setting, with a personalized thank you note to all the guests were added.
Although the bride and groom were not fans of cake, the mother-of-the-bride felt strongly that they needed to have a cake to cut! A modern, single layer black cake topped with a simple panda anemone was ordered. The cake was displayed alongside the lavish dessert table, on a gold glitz table linen.
Additionally, we hired a local company to make two acrylic pieces–a seating chart and a heart-shaped piece with a meaningful quote that the bride and groom would later showcase in their home.
The guests danced the night away and we think may have had an even better time than the guests at the Royal Wedding. As it turns out, Weddings in Phoenix may indeed have a fairy-tale ending!
